A good friend reminded me that
1. my old stuff isn't horrible - I shouldn't be so mortified of it that I never draw again
2. the past decade was not wasted - I wasn't prolifically doodling anymore, but I got other stuff done, so it was still valuable
3. even if I were 57, it's not too late to play around again
